University and evolves or devolves (depending on your point of view I
suppose) in a wild set of circumstances. It is newsworthy on the
national stage as there are 2 separate Chronicle of Higher Education

As an institution we have utilized open source tech and ultimately driven costs down in many of our technological deployments. We still talk to people who think that one of our primary motivators is cost
reduction. I would argue cost is a by product rather than a driver. I
