Has Google Been Googled by Facebook??

Google is and has been the king of search for years. I was just thinking that one of the things I have become since going to work at Western Oklahoma State College is an accidental grant writer. I have been fortunate to write and fund several USDA Distance Learning and Telemedicine grants all over the Country. The text below is basically the tale we tell for each and every project. Essentially our projects are rural, poor and we weave a… Continue

Communicating Effectively: More Digital Story Telling

I was just thinking as I am getting ready to teach class tonight that the traditional presentation software such as Power point is out of vogue a little bit. We are ultimately talking about communication and the tools for creating effective communication have improved so much in the past five years. I was just thinking that Digitial Story Telling is one of my favorite applications of Web 2.0 technology tools. I am a big fan of Microsoft Photo Story and have participated actively as a learner and a teacher in the Celebrate Oklahoma Voices project. I have a passion for using free or open source technology tools as well as saving the oral histories that… Continue

I was just thinking that I always look forward to the Google's April Fools Gimmickry. They are always funny. This year in an effort to promote an initiative to get super high bandwidth to municipalities who are chosen as test sites by Google. Topeka Kansas changed it name to Google in an effort to gain Google's attention and… Continue
